Yadah skincare

I'm currently in LA, will be back in three weeks. I'll reply to all comments, emails and messages as soon as I'm back. :)

Hey! Like you all know, my camera is problematic and is currently being serviced so there wasn't much chance for me to blog. So I got incredibly excited when I realised I could blog from my mum's Samsung Tab. The quality's not the best but a little editing helped. So here I am with a little review for you. A while ago, I won a online giveaway that Seventeen Magazine was having. I was soo excited since it was the first giveaway I had ever won. I literally couldn't believe it when I received and email saying I had won RM150 worth of Yadah products.
Yadah is a botanical skincare line specifically targeted at teenagers and young adults. It's a Korean brand that had just recently launched here.
First of all, how cute is that bag! All three products came in that little black glossy makeup/toiletry bag. And they all have super cute and sturdy pacakaging.
I received the Bubble Deep Cleanser, Moisturising Cactus Mist and the Handcream.

Bubble Deep Cleanser
This is probably the product I liked best. It is a gentle foaming facial cleanser that doesn't irratate my skin or sting my eyes. Eventhough the product says suitable for all skin types, I find it can be a little drying around my nose area. I read that foaming products rather than cream or gel tend to be a bit more drying so I think that's why. It leaves my skin refreshed and does not strip the natural oils of my face. It smells amazing, I couldn't place it at first just very fruity but know it reminds me of Mandarin oranges. Also I think it can last quite a bit because I only need half a pump to lather my entire face.

Moisturising Cactus Mist
The Mist I received was a little faulty. It comes in a spray bottle as you can see but the one I received had a problem with the spraying pump thing so I couldn't spray out the actual product. So I poured out a bit on a cotton pad and dab it lightly over my face. I don't think this method worked very well because I find that i put more than enough product on my face which cause my face to be slightly sticky. I think I'll get a little spray travel bottle from the drugstore and use it with that. On to the actual product, I feel this product is a great pick-me-up. It gives a little extra moisture to your face if it's dry and tired so it feels a lot more refreshed.

Handcream
This is probably the product I liked the least. Maybe just because I wasn't too fond of the scent, i can't explain the smell. It's a very nature scent (Sorry i'm horrible at this). Anyway, the product itself is creamy, thin consistency and it sinks fast into your skin. It does moisturize your hands and it supposedly has anti-aging properties. Nothing to great about this so I probably wouldn't repurchase.

I would probably only repurchase the cleanser but then it is pretty pricey for what it is and isn't that easy to find. Saying that, I'd like to try a some products from their makeup line, especially the Angel BB cream. I think Yadah is good skincare line especially for those with sensitive skin as the products are natural and don't aggravate your skin.

In-flight essentials

Sorry for the bad quality
I'm currenly in LA, will be back in three weeks. I'll reply to all comments, emails and messages as soon as I'm back :)

Hi everyone! So I thought I'd share with you some of my essentials for a long flight. As you guys know I'm off to LA and the journey will take around 21 hours. These are some things that I must have with me for such a long flight.

1) Toothbrush/Toothpaste/Mouthwash
This is kinda obvious isn't it. Needa keep those pearly whites clean. Haha. I'm taking minis in my hand luggage to clean my teeth.

2) Comb/Hair ties/Bobby pins
My hair can get really messy and tangly after a nap so i need a comb to straighten out all those knots in my hair. I also bring along hair ties or bobby pins if I want to keep my hair away from my face when I'm eating (or if i'm getting really annoyed with it) and maybe if I want to tie it up so it isn't too messy.

3) Handcream/Lotion
The recycled air in the plane can really dry out your skin especially after being in it for a long time. My hands and elbows especially will become dry and scaly so I bring along some lotion to return some moisture to them.

4) Facewash
Before touchdown, I like freshen up a bit. So I bring my current facewask in a mini bottle (that I stole from an hotel ages ago) to clean my face. This also really helps me get rid of the zombie complexion and make me look more awake. I then like to take a bit of the lotion and dab it on my face to moisturize.

5) Face wipes
If you don't really want to wash your face, this is a simple solution. These wipes easily cleanses your face and refreshes them. I like to use them not only before touchdown but during the flight if my face is feeling tired or dry. This is a great pick-me-up. A moisture mist is a good alternative too.

5) Lipbalm
I cannot go on any flight journey, long or short without this. My lips gets really dry easily especially in the plane so I always need a lipbalm with me at all times to prevent chapped lips. The one I'm currently using is Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lipbalm. Seriously guys, this smells soo yummy. Like pure hot chocolate.

6) Headphones/iPod
How long can you go without music? I always bring my headphones to plug into my phone for a little Top 40 hits ;) I don't have an iPod but if you do, I think it's better to use that.

Holiday!

Source
Hi everyone! I think I mentioned in a post a while ago that I might be going to the States. Well I am! It's all confirmed, my family and I are leaving on this Friday (30/11) and coming back on the 23rd of December. I wanted to tell you guys earlier but it's been so busy. There was a lot to do before out three week long holiday, what with our dogs, the house, the flights, the accomadation and all those other stuff. Haha I'm making it seem as if I'm the one doing all the planning (I'm not my lovely parents and sister are).
Anyways, we're going to California! We'll be visiting Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Sand Diego and San Francisco. If we have extra time, we might wander elsewhere. I'm particularly excited for LA. Hollywood, Disneyland, Universal Studios, there's so much to do. And of course, the shopping there. I'm also very excited to go to Alcatraz in San Francisco, I'm a bit of a history geek, you see.
So I was wondering, if any of you live there or have been there. Wheres the best place for shopping!? Any tips for first-timers like me.  How's the weather there by the way?
I'm not to sure if I'll have any scheduled posts up while I'm gone. I don't think I have time since we're leaving in three days and I haven't even started packing. We still need to buy a few things. The flights pretty long though, 21 hours! I need to get some books to occupy myself or maybe I'll just watch every in-flight movie available. I'll have quite a few posts when I'm back, loads of pictures and maybe a haul or two for you ;)

Christmas Wishlist

Hey!
So holidays have begun. Yay! I'm getting really annoyed because there is always something in the way of me blogging. Right now, it's my camera. There's something wrong with the shutter, it just won't snap pictures.
Anyways, while I try to get that fixed I thought I'd compile my Christmas wishlist. Christmas is coming up real soon so I thought I'd better get prepared. As you can see, most of my wants are technology and pretty pricey but  I have been eyeing them for a very very very long while.

1. iPhone 5
I have wanted an iPhone for so long. My current Android is giving me helluva problems to a point where I can't even receive messages anymore. I would most definitely love an iPhone but I will settle for another Android. Maybe Samsung SIII or Samsung Advanced?

2. Stereo
I really want to be able to listen to music in my room. Right now, I borrow my sister's stereo sometimes but would much prefer my own in my room. I'm not too fussed about it. Just something where I can play my CDs, listen to the radio (FM) and maybe plug in my thumbdrive.

4. Daisy by Marc Jacobs
This perfume is raved about literally everywhere. There are so many positive reviews on blogs and youtube. I  sniffed my friends perfume and I love the scent. I would love either this or Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck.

5. Vans
I haven't decided on the exact pair I want but I know the kind of style I'm going for. Vans are so comfy and look really cool too. Since we're in the shoe category, a pair of Chelsea boots and Combat boots would be lovely too.

6. iPad 3
I was gifted the iPad last year for Christmas by my wonderful dad. I loved it so much and was practically glued to it. Later in the year, I was gutted to hear that my iPad was lost. My dad borrowed it one morning and left it on a table. I'm not entirely sure of the story but basically one minute it was there, the next it was gone. I miss it so much and would love a replacement. I think I prefer this over the iPad Mini though. Hmm, what do you think? iPad 3 or iPad Mini?

7. Nikon D3200 / Nikon D3100
Like I said, our current family camera (Nikon P500) has been acting up. Just giving loads of problem.
I want a camera for myself so I don't have to worry about memory space and someone else using it. A camera that I can use solely for blogging and school projects. Nikon D3100 is also fine. I personally don't know the difference so if some kind soul would explain that to me, it would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have this model, does it work well for you? And if you have a camera that you love, please comment below what model and why. It can be Canon or whatever else. I'm still not too sure what camera model I want yet and your advice would be so helpful.

8. The Wanted album
You probably don't know my slight obsession with them. I absolutely love them all the tracks on this album and would love my very own copy. I also hear loads of good things about Red by Taylor Swift. What do you think?

7. Gift vouchers
I love gift vouchers! I appreciate the thought of someone going out and choosing something especially for you but most of the time the clothes/shoes/watches are not to my taste or size. This is just waaay easier. Elianto, H&M, Topshop, Cotton On, Forever 21 are some of the gift vouchers I would love to have.

So there, my Christmas 2012 wishlist. Well that turned out to be incredibly lengthy. I also say 'love' a lot, sorry! I really should widen my vocabulary. What are some of your gifts you would love to receive? There I go again.

DIY: Bracelet storage

Hey, sorry about my absence. Studying takes up a lot of time. My finals are in two weeks so I'm pretty sure my posts are going to be sparse until my exams are over.
I bought the ceramic animal figurines above when I went through an animal phase. I had this idea that my room was going to be covered with wildlife posters and paintings. My wooden furniture and green walls helped with that plan. Unfortunately after the purchases above being my only animal related item, I grew bored with that idea. It didn't help that what I thought I bought, were some cool realistic statues but in reality were actually salt and pepper shakers. Really, I'm not joking. Oh, how I laughed. Not. Each of these figurines cost me RM 3 so I didn't loose much.
Anyways, I was thinking of throwing them out as I don't run a diner but I thought why waste RM 9.
So up until now my bracelets were store in a jumbled up mess in my jewelry box. I was getting a little tired of my continuous routine of untangling them. That's where the figurines come in. I spray painted the dog and cat black. I would have preferred white to match my room theme but I only had black spray paint. Then arranged my jewelry on them. I still have some bracelets that wouldn't fit in my jewelry box though.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I might have to look for other ways if my collection expands but for now it's perfect.
